Tanya Sheets began making natural scented soy candles, bath and body products as a hobby. She gave her products as gifts to family and friends to enjoy in their homes and also give out as thank you gifts to customers of TJ’s Appliances, A company she started with her husband Joe Lopes 10 years ago which is located beside her Burning Desires Gift Shop.
As is the case with many fine products, Tanya’s products became increasingly popular and requests for specific scents or products began. At “Burning Desires” the soy candles are all carefully made and hand poured by Tanya to assure the utmost care and attention to quality. Extensive testing assures the customer a quality purchase. Great care is taken in choosing only high quality fragrances and ingredients known to be safe and approved for use in candles are used in the making of our soy candles, perfumes, bath and body products. An extensive, high quality fragrance list is available for customers to choose from for custom order(s) or select from the wide variety of pre-made scented candles, votives and tea lights, perfumes, or bath and body products readily available in the store for purchase. Collectables and giftwares are carefully selected for their appeal, attention to detail and quality. “Burning Desires” offers the consumer a selection of items relatively new to the Canadian market or presently not readily available. Tanya takes great pride in sharing with the Canadian consumer her passion for fairies, in particular bringing to them the lovely and beautiful Crisalis collection and her personal favorite, The Legend of Avalon fairies. From the mystical to the natural, Tanya has found an exquisite line of nature figurines in the Wild Inspirations animal and wildlife collection. Let's not forget the whimsical Tuskers collection or the cute and adorable Cherished Teddies guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone.
